A cool iPhone app for recording business mileage – Milebug
I am one of those people who, in a few years, will be standing up at a weekly meeting saying “My name is julia and i’m an iPhone app addict!”.
Since I bought the iPhone I have been installing and uninstalling applications, most of them are free apps. However there is one app I found that was £1.19 and it was totally worth every penny. Its called MileBug. As you can imagine, I am on the road a lot and I so often forget to record my milage. I also have two businesses, and this app is excellent for recording mileage for both.
The Key Features of this app are:-
FEATURES

So, if you are currently doing what I used to do ie: writing my mileage in a note book, then putting it on a mileage claim form and then printing it out and sending it to your accounts dept, then you NEED this app!
Thanks to “MileBug” now I simply input my mileage into the application and email myself the report for review and forward it to our the accounts dept. I can run a different report for each company. The best thing is that the app remembers locations that you have been to previously, so you don’t even have to type in the location more than once.
Honestly it has made my life so much easier. People who travel all over the place and need to keep track of their mileage this application is great.
Keep in mind that nothing is perfect so I recommend backing up your phone and emailing the report depending on how many changes you make.
Oh, and the best tip is to tie a little ribbon on your steering wheel to remind you to do your milage when you get in your car! It works for me!
