Instagram is testing the ability to share full Reel video in the story, 60 seconds max

How frustrating is it when you share a reel to your Instagram story and it cut’s off before the end? Grr!! This could soon be a thing of the past – for 60 second reels at least.

Youtube adds more posdcast tools

It seems that everyone has a podcast these days! Watching podcasts is becoming ever more popular, particularly on YouTube. The platform is rolling out new options for podcast creators, these include new video download options, hashtag recommendations, and the ability to create content directly in Creator Studio.

TIKTOK WILL ALLOW USERS TO REST ‘FOR YOU’ PAGE

When your TikTok feed starts to get stale or boring, or even repetitive, you will now be able to use the ‘refresh’ feature to reset your feed.

This aims to make the platform healthier, happier and hopefully boost engagement.

YOUTUBE WILL NOW LET ADVERTISERS TARGET GEN Z BASED ON TRENDING MUSIC

Are you a Twitter Blue Subscriber?

With Twitter Blue failing to reach expectations, Elon Musk is taking action announcing that, as of April 15th, the only Twitter Blue tweets will be displayed in the ‘For You’ tab – i.e. the main tab of the app.

Mozilla invests in new AI company to challenge ChatGPT and Bard

Mozilla is to invest $30 million to create a new, non-profit AI company as a challenger to OpenAI ChatGPT and Google Bard.

This new open source initiative for developing AI will put transparency, accountability and trustworthiness at the forefront of the open source AI products they will build to challenge Microsoft, OpenAI and Google.

Google Introduces Updated Desktop Search Design

Google has updated it's desktop search results so they now display favicons and site names. This should make it easier for users to identify websites listed in search results and ads.

LinkedIn is adding a new GPT-powered tool that will provide personalised writing suggestions for creating your LinkedIn profile

While we think this a good idea to help people improve their profiles, it is important to make sure you put a bit of your personality into it too, so you don’t sound like a robot.

Twitter is working on a new option that would enable users to opt out of ads in certain sensitive categories, in order to better customise the promotions that you see in the app

Currently, ‘Gambling’ is the only option available at this stage, but it’ll likely eventually be expanded to include alcohol, guns, etc.
