I am a big fan of making life easier, especially in this fast-paced world that we live in. If you are a Google Chrome user then you have probably already experimented with the various Chrome extensions. I love productivity hacks and if there are chrome extensions that help me work faster and more efficiently then I will be doing a little dance on my new findings!
Here are my top business related Google Chrome extensions that I could not live without.
#1 – Hootlet – Social Sharing for lazy people!
We call this “hooting” at Green Umbrella head offices and it's the best invention ever if you are a Hootsuite user. If you discover interesting content on your favourite website you might want to share it with your networks. Simply click the little owl on Google Chrome and you can post to multiple accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin or Google Plus at the touch of a button. You can also schedule the content for later, or opt for the auto schedule feature. I particularly like the way that it curates the content for you and automatically shortens the links, saving you time each day. Check it out – Hootlet.
Note: I also use the MeetEdgar chrome extension to add content to my buckets whilst on the go! (if you are not sure what MeetEdgar is, then check out this post which explains why MeetEdgar is my secret sauce to social media management).
#2 – Momentum – The personalised To Do List at your fingertips!
We have that “One thing” that we need to accomplish today. If you have not read the book called “The One Thing” by Gary Keller, then I would highly recommend it! Momentum is a Google Chrome extension that is extremely visual and showcases your “one thing” whenever you click a new tab on chrome (and we all know how much time we spend on the internet). In addition to the “one thing” you can also add your to do list, see the weather and have daily inspirational images.
To see it in action, here is a video that I create a few months ago. I now use this system everyday (Just for my top 5 items and my one thing).
#3 – Grammarly – Spelling, Grammar and Vocabularly testing
#4 – Do-Share – The Google Plus for Profiles Schedule Tool
#5 – Stay Focused – A fantastic anti-social tool that keeps you focused and productive.
That is the serious Google Chrome extensions that I use every day. I say the “serious” ones, as there is another one that I use on odd occasions, but this is rather funny and its a good practical joke to use in the office (but don't tell anyone that you heard it from me). You can find details of this in today's tool of the day.
Ep 141 – Office Prank – Google Chrome Extension
If you are brave enough, then try out this Google Chrome extension on your work colleagues. Make sure that they are going to be out of the office for 5 mins and then download this app. Nicholas Cage, extension.

That's all for today!
