It’s been a bit of a busy week or so here at Green Umbrella, to say the least. We’ve been out and about talking to recruiters about Social Media at the TEAM Conference, and teaching members of the motor trade about advanced Facebook techniques. Oh, and there was some quite big news for us as well…

Let’s hand over to Julia for one last time…

“I have some awesome news!  As of 1st April 2019, I began a new chapter of my life and the hills are calling me! The Green Umbrella baton is being passed to a brand new company owner who I know will nurture and love the organisation and the industry as much as I did.

For those of you who know me, you will know that the 500 mile Camino hike across Spain changed my life dramatically back in 2016.  I have a passion for walking, and my new business venture, Adventure Geek, has been created to encourage busy workaholics (like I was) to get outside and get inspired.  So many ideas flow for YOUR business when you give your brain the space it needs to be creative.

So, who is the new owner?
Most people reading this will already know the new owner, Christina Robinson as she has been with the company since the early days.  I can’t think of anyone else who I would rather sell the business to as she has both the passion and the drive to take Green Umbrella to the next level. Good luck Christina, not that you will need it!

In the meantime, I will catch you online.  Social media is in my blood now and you can’t get rid of me that easily!”

“After working so closely with Julia over the last few years, I really do know this business inside out and upside down – so the decision to buy the business was an absolute no-brainer.

The first question people will be asking is what will I change? In reality, I’ve always had the autonomy to implement changes as I saw fit, so any changes have already been made! It really will be business as usual at Green Umbrella Marketing.

There are no words to describe just how excited I am to be taking the business forward. We have a fantastic team here at GUHQ, and we are all looking forward to what the future will bring us.”
