Do Your Social Media Links Go To The Right Place?

We have now delivered over 2000 digital health checks and I am still surprised how many businesses do not have correct links on their websites. Sometimes they have been directed to the web developers site rather than the business, and often the LinkedIn icon will direct to a personal profile rather than the business page.

I urge you now – just take a quick look and check your site for social media links. Do they go to the right place?

Also, a reminder that social sharing tools/social proof buttons are very different to social media links.  You will ideally have social sharing tools on your blogs, properties, vacancies, special offers etc.  Social sharing tools should not be in the header of your website on the home page – this should be links to your social media channels only.
