Universal, which is home to some of the biggest music stars on the planet, including Taylor Swift, Adele, Drake, and Billie Eilish, says that TikTok offered less than it had hoped on both compensation for its artists, as well as safeguards about generative AI usage.
06:28 – Good news for Threads fans – downloads of the app have increased momentum since December, hitting number 4 in the top charts on the Apple App Store. With 12 million new downloads, although it has a long way to go to catch up with other social media apps, it’s heading in the right direction.
07:09 – We give our take on the statistics released on the most downloaded apps on Apple App Store for iOS. TikTok hits number #1 and we’ve seen a sharp rise in Instagram, whilst other apps growth appears to have flattened
12:52 – LinkedIn’s latest results, announced as part of Microsoft’s quarterly update, officially confirm that the platform is now up to a billion members, while engagement remains high, with newer elements helping to drive more usage.
17:55 – The same report shows in the month of September, there were 195 reports of account hacking, over 21,000 reports of misinformation, and 2,000 reports of threats of violence.
