This is a technique that I use when I sit down to write a blog. In my head, I am writing to one person in the same way as if I was writing an email to someone.
If you read any of my articles, I hope that you will feel as if I am talking to you directly. Using customer-focused language is the key to an engaging article, whether it is a blog, or an email campaign, you need to have that one customer in mind.
Saying that, I do believe that some industries do not fall into this category, such as the finance, legal or perhaps insurance industries. But wouldn’t the world be a better place if these industries did write blogs or articles that felt personal to the reader?
