Are You Live Streaming Yet?

In 2015 we saw the launch of Periscope and Meerkat, which gave us the ability to live stream from our mobile phones straight into Twitter. YouTubers have been live streaming game playing for a number of years and the technology is just getting better and better.

What type of businesses would excel with live streaming?

• Estate agents / real estate – you could live stream a viewing of a property
• Personal trainers – live streaming a type of exercise
• It’s a great way to show people an event or an expedition
• Get people involved in a networking event
• Wouldn’t it be great to see live streamed court proceedings?
• We are already seeing live streams of concerts, which makes me wonder if that is breech of copyright?
• Live streaming during sporting events and much more.
• Behind the scenes live streaming is also becoming popular.

We saw the introduction of Facebook live streaming earlier in the year for the everyday person and now we can stream in a group, a page an event or a personal profile. I think you will see many more developments during 2016 for Facebook live streaming.
