Facebook introduced “Page Preferred Audience” per post in May 2017, although many people are not aware of the option.
This is a fabulous tool if you are promoting something that is specific to a location, an age range or a particular interest.
At Green Umbrella we are recommending our recruitment clients to use this feature when posting a vacancy for a specific area. It also works well for competitions for local businesses such as restaurants, pubs, hairdressers etc.
As an additional note, please make sure that you have told Facebook who your ideal target audience is. You can do this in the settings > preferred page audience (on the left column).
